Omron's optical sensing steps forward

Omron has introduced the new EE-SY1200 Photomicrosensor into its broad line of optical sensors. Sensing technology is deployed over wide range of Omron‘s components and now this unique product extends the portfolio of reflective photomicrosensors.

With an ultra-compact size ( 3,2mm L x 1,9mm W x 1,1mm H - one of the smallest in the industry), the sensor achieves exceptional performance with a detection distance of up to 4mm.

Implementing innovative MID technology during the development and manufacturing process, it offers a solution with a highly reliable signal to noise ratio. Designed with surface mounting termination, it is suitable for use in automated mounting equipment and available in tape & reel packaging. With an operating temperature range from -25 to 85 degrees Celsius, the sensor meets all the requirements of the latest reflow soldering processes. Ideal applications for the EE-SY1200 include home and office automation, the gaming industry , ticket/vendor machines and medical equipment.
